On the night of Saturday, May 3, Lady Gaga delivered a spectacular and historic free concert on the sands of Copacabana Beach in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. According to estimates from local authorities and the military police, over 2.1 million people attended the event — setting the record for the largest audience ever for a female artist in music history. Fans from all over the world gathered to witness the once-in-a-lifetime performance.
The concert followed Gaga’s acclaimed headlining appearances at Coachella and sold-out stadium shows in Mexico City.
